Working Hours 1.00 to 6.30pm and Monday to Friday (27.5 hours)
(Additional hours to help with emergency/holiday cover when required)
To start asap.
Must be computer literate, have a good knowledge of Windows/IT Skills and be able navigate computer systems.
The Practice uses EMIS medical system, Accrux, Docman, etc. Training will be given and monitored.
Perform a range of reception, admin duties including the provision of clerical support to staff and other clinical members of the practice team via tasks.
Offer general assistance and make appropriate appointments by directing patients in accessing the most suitable service for their healthcare in a professional, effective and friendly manner.
Give information to patients including test results and details of services.
Communicate effectively with patients and all members of the Practice Team.
Be very organised and detailed oriented and resolve daily matters with a positive workload.
Deal with requests and queries from patients and other providers by face to face, telephone and online.
Ensure Practice standards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of total care to all who encounter the services provided by the Practice.
Clinical staff may ask for chaperoning occasionally.
Data checking patients address, telephone numbers/emails/etc., and update records as and when required.
Deal with patients who wish to register with the practice in person and on-line.
Process repeat prescriptions.
Photocopy, scan medical letters and reports.
Ensure building security, opening/closing premises, knowledge of the alarm system, doors and windows.
Comply with health and safety legislation, promoting high standards and acting immediately on hazards and security.
Candidates to be flexible in their working pattern, multi-tasking, friendly and be team player.
