Job Title: Clinical Quality Reviewer
Location: Home based with travel throughout the UK
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Reports to: Director of Clinical Practice & Standards
Accountable to Director of Clinical Practice & Standards
About the Role:
As the Clinical Quality Reviewer, you will provide independent assurance of clinical practice across Outcomes First Group by conducting regular, nationwide quality reviews of clinical provision within our schools and services. In this pivotal role, you will assess compliance against agreed standards, reporting your findings to the Director of Clinical Practice & Standards and helping to embed a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include reviewing timetables, client sessions, clinical notes, and adherence to policies, with the goal of identifying areas for improvement and ensuring operational teams are held to account. You will be crucial in preparing the Group for external inspections and will travel extensively across the UK to perform your duties. Quality Assurance & Review
Conduct regular on-site reviews of clinical provision across OFG schools and services.
Assess compliance against the Group’s clinical quality checklist, including:
Timetables and caseload allocation.
Number and quality of client sessions delivered.
Client and family feedback.
Quality and timeliness of clinical notes and reports.
Use of clinical software and systems.
Adherence to Group policies and regulatory standards.
Punctuality, attendance, and professional conduct.
Provide clear, evidence-based feedback to site leaders and clinical teams.
Identify areas of good practice and share recommendations for improvement.
Reporting & Compliance
Produce accurate, timely reports for the Director of Clinical Practice & Standards.
Ensure that findings are followed up and that improvement actions are tracked.
Escalate safeguarding or significant compliance risks immediately in line with policy.
Support the Group’s preparation for CQC, Ofsted, and other external inspections.
Collaboration & Support
Work with Regional Clinical Leads to align review activity with professional standards.
Provide constructive challenge to local teams, supporting them to improve practice.
Contribute to the ongoing refinement of the Group’s quality assurance framework.
Support training and development initiatives related to audit findings.
Essential Criteria
Professional background in health, education, or social care (e.g. nursing, social work, psychology, therapy).
Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality assurance in regulated services.
Experience of undertaking audits, reviews, or compliance checks.
Ability to analyse information, identify risks, and make evidence-based recommendations.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Confidence to challenge and hold others to account.
Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Desirable
Experience working in SEND, education, or multi-site organisations.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (CQC, Ofsted, HCPC, BPS, RCOT, RCSLT).
Experience of leading or supporting improvement projects following audits.
