Crynodeb
Lovett Sales & Lettings are looking for a full-time Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our market- leading In-house Maintenance Team within their St Neots-based Estate Agency, in Cambridgeshire. The role presents a great opportunity to work within a fast-paced, family-run independent Estate Agency.
The successful candidate will support our lettings maintenance department, working particularly closely with our Property Maintenance Manager. The key functions of the role (listed below) will enable our Lettings Maintenance Team to enhance the service provision received by both our landlord and tenant clients.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out servicing, repairs, and installations of domestic gas appliances & heating systems, including boilers, hobs, unvented cylinders, etc.
- Diagnose faults and carry out remedial repairs efficiently & accurately.
- Perform landlord gas safety inspections & issue certificates (CP12’s)
- Carry out general plumbing works incl. Tap changes, replacement showers, toilets, etc
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations & best practice
- Maintain accurate records of works performed, including materials used & time spent on tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service to landlords and landlords
Skills and experience required
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence — van for work use provided.
- Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
- Gas Safe registered - ACS (eg. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CTR1)
- Experience in domestic boiler servicing, fault diagnosis, and installations
- General plumbing works experience
- Good understanding of electrical safe isolation & basic wiring principles
- Comfortable using job allocation and certification software — iPad supplied
Desirable, but not essential:
- OFTEC certification
- Unvented G3 qualification
- Knowledge of Ideal, Baxi, Valliant boilers
Salary
£39,000 + commission
The mobile role is based from offices on the Market Square, St Neots. Working hours 9am to 5.30pm Mon-Fri, covering the local areas. No callouts or out of hours work required.
You will also be enrolled into our NEST pension scheme (opt-out available of course).
Annual Leave
20 days, plus 8 bank holidays, 1 day off for your birthday, and reduced days between Christmas and New Year. Further annual leave entitlement after 5 years of service.
