We are seeking a competent, compassionate and caring Learning Support Assistant with experience of SEND in a Primary setting, to support a child/children with additional learning and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and in small groups basis.
Who are we looking for?The successful candidate will be:
- must be qualified to Level 3 standard
- must have experience working in a primary or nursery setting
- experienced and confident
- fully knowledgeable of relevant policies/codes of practice and
- aware of relevant legislation
- knowledgeable of the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
- understand the principles of child development and learning processes, and in particular, barriers to learning
- Fully understanding and knowledgeable of the range of support services and providers
- Able to support in general care and welfare, including personal hygiene
- First Aid qualification would be desirable, or a willingness to complete the relevant training
