Reporting into the IT Development Manager, this role is critical to the successful delivery of business system changes. You will work with stakeholders to support the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of new systems, changes to existing systems and process initiatives to maximise the operational effectiveness of the business. You will be seen as the in-house technical expert for assigned business systems and responsible for the 2nd level support and performance of them
It’s an exciting and varied job and a genuine opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of business value within Lakeland. You’ll work with colleagues across the Lakeland business and play your part in delivering a successful programme of continuous system and process improvement.
About you
Ideally be educated to graduate or equivalent level and been part of at least two full software project delivery lifecycles.
If you have three years or more solid experience in business analysis, systems analysis and/or business systems support, Lakeland is interested in speaking to you.

Be the in-house technical expert for all areas of assigned business systems, managing patches, releases and upgrades to production. Keep abreast of product roadmaps and new functionality
You will take ownership of IT project features or work packets throughout the software development life cycle as required, from scoping to BAU handover. Work with stakeholders to capture business requirements to convert into functional requirements, develop and implement new and existing system and process initiatives to maximise the operational effectiveness of the business systems.
You will design, write, document and execute detailed end-to-end system integration tests, ensuring appropriate levels of test coverage, managing multiple 3rd party developer relationships and ensuring that defects are prioritised and worked through to resolution effectively.
You will develop User test plans in conjunction with business system Users, ensuring the test cases are thorough and test cycles keep to schedule. You will prepare and manage cut-over plans and manage to go-live and ensure training is in place for success.
As an IT Business and Test Analyst, you will provide 2nd level support to investigate production issues and escalate to system providers to ensure system availability meets agreed service levels
In supporting this broad scope, you must be able to think on your feet and manage your own workload and meet deadlines. You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where there is always lots going on. You’ll be happy working independently whilst also enjoying being part of a team, sharing information, knowledge & experience freely and building and maintaining positive relationships.
