Exciting Opportunity for a Vehicle Technician at a Leading Car Dealership Group in Ton Pentre
Our client, a reputable, family-run car dealer group, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department in Ton Pentre. This is an excellent chance for a qualified Vehicle Technician to build their career within a well-established dealership offering competitive pay, great benefits, and ongoing training.

- Starting salary up to £35,700, dependent on experience
- Performance-based bonus scheme averaging £400 per month (£4,800 per annum)

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am – 1:00pm, paid at time and a half
Duties:
- Carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles following manufacturer standards
- Ensuring faults are accurately identified and reporting on vehicle condition, safety, and performance
- Adhering strictly to quality procedures and processes laid down by the client and vehicle manufacturer
- Working efficiently within a busy dealership environment, meeting targets, and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Supporting the team with vehicle diagnostics, electronic systems, and general repairs
- Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment in line with dealership policies
Candidate Specification:
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (minimum)
- 1-2 years post-qualification experience preferred
- Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- A committed, proactive team player with a strong work ethic
- Capable of producing high-quality work under time pressures
- Experience with vehicle diagnosis, electronics, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
- An active MOT Smart Card is desirable
