SUPPORT WORKER WANTED! FOR A LOVELY LADY WHO ENJOYS GETTING OUT AND ABOUT

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable Personal Assistant to work just with a mid-40s lady with some moderate learning challenges.

She is fully verbal, full of personality and fun. She appreciates someone who brings good humour to the day.

She lives independently in her own modern bungalow, not far from the M50 (between Ross and Newent)

What you'll be doing

o Providing 1:1 support to help live her best life, in her own home, out and about in the community
o Accompanying her to access activities she enjoys, including arts, crafts and social outings, shopping, (she loves window shopping) swimming and walking.
o Enjoys getting out and about to town, the garden centre or just heading out for a drive
o Full use of her motability car (you will be fully insured)
o Light household support as needed
o Zero personal care required she is fully independent in this area


ABOUT HER:

o Warm, sociable and chatty, always up for some fun, she thrives on routine and sound 1:1 relationships
o Loves creative, hands-on activities
o Appreciates support staff with a good sense of humour and patience
o Sometimes needs help to express and understand more complicated thoughts and ideas but otherwise ok


WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

o Someone kind, engaging, dependable, upbeat and patient
o A driver with a clean licence (essential for use of her mobility car)
o Experience in support work is helpful but not essential attitude and rapport are everything
o Someone who enjoys making every day meaningful.
o Perfect for a job share or someone who loves having their afternoons free


Hours & Pay: £12.21 per hour

SET SHIFTS 18 HOURS PER WEEK (AVERAGE)

Tuesday: 9.45am-10.15am & 2.45pm-4.15pm

WEDNESDAY: 9.30AM-1.30PM

THURSDAY: 9.30AM-1.30PM

Friday: 9.30am-1pm & 5-6pm

SATURDAY: 10AM-2PM (not needed every third Saturday)

SUNDAY: 5-6PM
