Summary
The HCA will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care including, Phlebotomy Blood Pressure monitoring Obtaining patient consent for the collection of blood samples Height & Weight monitoring (inc BMI) Flu vaccination (under PSD) Wound care NHS Health Checks Injections (under PSD) Ensuring samples are sent the laboratory in a timely manner Chaperone duties Maintaining accurate patient records Support and participate in share learning within the practice Follow infection control procedures Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Help raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Assisting with the collection of data on needs related to health and well-being Re-Stock clinical rooms Assist with minor surgery sessions
