We are working with a prestigious business based in Shrewsbury who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to support the business on a temporary basis until April 2026, possibly longer. The Finance Business Partner will be the key finance contact to assigned business areas, liaise regularly with the budget holders on all financial matters.
You will be responsible for:
• Provide finance business partnering support for three separate sites
• Act as the first point of contact on financial matters for the sites
• Work with budget managers at the sites and the centralised area budget managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
• Alongside this, the Finance Business Partner will be assigned ad-hoc projects to continually improve the financial reporting and planning of the sites
• Prepare and produce management accounts and variance analysis
• Using Microsoft excel, design and develop reporting packs, commentary and analysis for budget holders
• Prepare annual budget and forecast process for the designated budget holders
• Review and challenge budget assumptions to ensure the budgets onward submitted for consolidation are robust
• Support the Management Accountant in the consolidation of the whole business budget and 5-year plan for submission
• Ensure that cost centres and approval flows for are kept up to date with changes in budget holders and are set up in a manner that aid budget holders and their managers to manage their finances and for reporting, and analysis purposes
• Continual improvement of budget holders’ understanding of process and accounting for their particular areas
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role. Ideally you will be fully qualified but this isn’t essential.
