About the Role
A diverse and vibrant primary school in Lambeth is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 1 pupil who has additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion and supporting children with SEN.
Responsibilities
- Providing tailored support to a child with complex needs
- Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher
- Implementing individual support strategies
- Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Requirements
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, speech & language, or SEMH desirable)
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Ability to follow specific learning plans
- Level 3 in childcare (preferred)
