Summary

Maintenance Storeperson

Plymouth | £16.25 per hour | Temporary | Immediate Start

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a proactive and organised Maintenance Storeperson to join a client in Plymouth on a temporary basis to cover long-term sickness. This role supports the smooth operation of the maintenance department by managing spare parts, sourcing components, and assisting with planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Duties
  • Ensure maintenance components and spares are purchased and available for reactive breakdowns, PPM, and projects.

  • Organise all maintenance spare components, including cataloguing, labelling, and storing.

  • Source components and negotiate best prices and lead times from suppliers and OEMs.

  • Raise Purchase Orders for stock replenishment and one-off orders.

  • Receive and put away goods, maintaining a clean and tidy store area in line with 6S principles.

  • Evaluate issues as they arise and communicate effectively with Supervisors.

  • Assemble PPM kits for scheduled maintenance tasks.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a maintenance stores or similar role.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage lead times.

  • Familiarity with 6S principles and stock control systems.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
