Crynodeb
NWAS are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and professional Administrator to provide administrative support to the Chief Nurse and the Infection Prevention & Control Team. There may also be a requirement to provide administrative support to cover other teams within the directorate. A base will be provided at the Trust and there will be the opportunity for some home working. Additional travel to other North West Ambulance Trust sites may be required.
The role involves a variety of administrative tasks including accurate minute-taking at a variety of meetings, arranging meetings, managing diaries, dealing with general queries, inputting into various IT systems, producing regular reports and electronic filing.
Excellent keyboard skills are required and along with previous substantial administrative experience. Good computer literacy skills in Microsoft word and excel is essential as is experience in producing data-based reports and inputting into information systems and databases.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, outstanding organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks appropriately. The successful candidate must be able to use their own initiative and work without close supervision.
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
