We’re looking for a dedicated carer to provide one-to-one support for a child with complex care needs in a school setting in the Cornwall region. This role is all about making school a safe, positive, and engaging environment where the child can thrive both academically and socially.
You’ll be working closely with the school, and our experienced nursing team, who’ll ensure you have full, client-specific training before you start. Every day will bring new moments of connection and achievement; whether it’s supporting learning, promoting independence, or being a reassuring presence during the school day.

Market leading rates of pay:
£14.00/hour flat rate

Responsibilities:
• Support patients with their physical care needs, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and comfort.
• Deliver person-centered care according to individual bespoke care plans.
• Promote independence and respect each patient’s spiritual, psychological, and cultural needs.
• Maintain accurate care records.
• Assist with communication between patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medication or clinical tasks after completing our advanced training and competency sign off.
• Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the Regional Nurse Manager.
• Contribute to a supportive, high-standard care environment.
Specifically:
1. Tracheostomy
2. Gastrostomy
Term time only / Bank
9am-3:30pm Mon to Fri
Essential Skills and Qualities for this role:
• Reliable and committed.
• Dedicated and flexible.
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written.
• Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
• Passionate, dedicated, and empathetic.
• Experience is not essential for this position.
