The Trauma Registrar will have the principle responsibility of supporting the orthopaedic team. Additionally the post-holder will take part in the out of hour’s rota. Responsibilities will include involvement in a regular teaching programme as well as participating in weekly meetings and monthly audit meetings.

The post-holder’s clinical duties will include, care of ward patients, all aspects of elective orthopaedic trauma, admission and primary care of emergencies, attending the operating theatre for trauma and elective lists and have the opportunity for clinical research. The post-holder will also participate in the departments full shift rota.
