Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care services to clients with diverse needs. This role involves supporting individuals in maintaining their independence, ensuring their safety, and enhancing their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, disability support, or home health services, with a passion for making a positive difference in people's lives. Experience with assisted living, dementia care, and medication administration is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients in their homes, delivering personalized care tailored to each individual's requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning as needed
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to ensure safe transfers
Observe and report on patients’ health status and any changes in condition or behavior
Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience in home & community care or long-term care environments. Prior work in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care is advantageous. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism, or complex medical needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia is preferred. Additional skills that enhance suitability for this role include first aid certification, CPR certification, patient observation skills, experience working with residents' care plans, medication management expertise, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Previous experience involving heavy lifting or the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts is beneficial. A background in social work or nursing can also be valuable assets for providing comprehensive patient-centered support.
