Job Title- Salaried GP Reports to- Partners/ Practice Manager Place of work -Hazelwood Group Practice Role Summary The Salaried GP will provide high-quality primary care services to the practice population, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will manage a caseload of patients, deliver evidence-based clinical care, and contribute to the overall functioning, development, and quality improvement of the practice. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Conduct face-to-face, telephone, video, and online consultations. Provide timely assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute, chronic, and long-term conditions. Undertake home visits as required. Request, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and investigations. Prescribe safely and appropriately in line with current guidance. Provide comprehensive patient-centred care, including preventive healthcare and health promotion. Manage and review QOF, IIF, and other contractual clinical requirements. Patient Care & Safety Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records (EMIS/ Docman system). Work within safeguarding policies for children and adults, taking appropriate action when concerns arise. Follow practice protocols, clinical governance processes, and prescribing guidelines. Participate in significant event reviews, audits, and quality improvement activities. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with GP partners, salaried GPs, ANPs, pharmacists, nurses, HCAs, and administrative teams. Contribute to daily clinical meetings, triage discussions, and multidisciplinary working. Provide clinical leadership and support to other team members when required. Communicate effectively with patients, carers, colleagues, and external agencies. Practice Development Participate in practice meetings, education sessions, and service-development initiatives. Support the delivery of enhanced services and local clinical pathways. Engage with PCN activities such as MDT meetings, extended access, long-term condition management, and population health initiatives. Education & Training Maintain GP registration and perform all necessary revalidation and appraisal activities. Take part in continuous professional development (CPD). Participate in in-house teaching, supervision of trainees (if appropriate), and learning events. Person Specification Essential Fully qualified and registered GP (MRCGP or equivalent). GMC registration with a licence to practise. Inclusion on the NHS Performers List. Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills. Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care. Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Desirable Experience with QOF, IIF, and enhanced services. Interest in a clinical specialty (e.g., womens health, dermatology, minor surgery, diabetes). Experience supervising trainees or involvement in teaching. Leadership or quality-improvement experience.
