Crynodeb

Do you take pride in a job well done? We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our facilities team, helping to create a sparkling, safe, and welcoming environment where our students can thrive.
About WPT
At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.
About the Role
As a Cleaner, you play a vital role in the daily running of the academy. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your designated area. Working under the guidance of the Cleaning Supervisor or Caretaker, you will ensure that classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces are safe, sanitary, and ready for the school day. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail will directly contribute to the health and well-being of our school community.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Cleaning Supervisor/Caretaker, be responsible for the cleanliness of a specified area within the academy to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. This will include working to a set timescale.
Undertake appropriate training to understand the correct ways to use and store cleaning equipment and domestic products in order to comply with Health and Safety regulations.
Be vigilant to risks and hazards and ensure these are reported correctly under COSHH in order to maintain a high level of Health and Safety.
Be responsible for replenishing hygiene items, such as soap and towels, in order to support staff, pupils, and visitors to maintain personal hygiene standards.
Maintain required cleaning records to comply with Health and Safety and academy procedures.
Work as a team with other cleaning staff to ensure the whole academy is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
