The Infrastructure Delivery Programme Management Office (PMO) sits within Environment & Highways directorate and supports the delivery of a half a billion- pound plus capital infrastructure programme over the coming years.
About the Role
You will own and become a subject area expert for one or more distinct infrastructure programmes and primarily support Project Managers and Programme Leads with accurate reporting and keeping project information up to date.
You'll ensure standards are maintained to reduce costs and minimise risks as well as providing support in enabling efficient decision making. You will report, track and ensure schemes are managed in a controlled way. The PMO team make sure that the Council's Governance and Compliance standards are applied.
This role can offer flexibility in working pattern and we operate an agile working policy. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.
About you
We are seeking a highly organised person with sound knowledge of programme and project management and business processes.You will work closely with the Infrastructure Delivery Teams, Scheme officers and Leadership teams on several large-scale projects, ensuring that projects are reported on accurately in terms of overall timing, budget and deliverables. A good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products is key.
This role is ideally suited to a motivated, confident individual, with self-starter capabilities, comfortable at working alone as well as part of a team.
