Velox Social Care is looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Reading Berkshire , providing person-centred care to Children and Young People (CYP) who require structured support. We are seeking passionate, committed, and driven individuals who are ready to offer support, encouragement, and care to children and young people. In this role, you'll work alongside our experienced Care Management Team and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the young people we care for.
Your Role:
- Provide positive, caring, and supportive interventions to children and young people, ensuring they progress and thrive.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
- Support children with a range of emotional and behavioural needs, fostering a safe and encouraging environment.
- Offer a blend of long and short shifts, providing flexibility to fit the needs of the clients.

- Weekly pay, with competitive pay rates.

Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Right to Work in the UK
- 6+ months' experience in a similar CYP setting (preferably in the UK)
- 3 References: 2 professional, 1 character
- In-date PMVA or Team Teach certificate (if PMVA-trained, you must be willing to complete Team Teach training)
- Enhanced Child DBS, subscribed to the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualifications (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- Drivers with Business Insurance (BI) are preferred; however, Non-drivers are also encouraged to apply
- Experience with challenging behaviours is highly valued, but candidates with diverse experience are welcome
