We’re now looking for Support Workers to join our friendly, supportive team at our beautiful four-bedroom home near Bridgend, set within two acres of peaceful Welsh countryside. This warm, nurturing environment is a place where individuals with complex needs — including learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism — can grow in confidence, develop life skills and enjoy greater independence.
If you want to play a meaningful role in helping people achieve their potential, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support Worker, you’ll make a genuine impact every day by:
- Supporting adults with their daily needs to ensure emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
- Building strong, trusting relationships so each person feels safe, valued and understood.
- Encouraging independence and helping people develop essential life skills.
- Supporting activities at home, during education programmes, or out in the community.
- Working closely with your team to tailor support to each individual’s needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of progress, activities and any incidents.
- Helping with day-to-day household tasks like cooking, cleaning and meal preparation.
What We’re Looking For in a Support Worker
You don’t need previous care experience — just the right values and attitude. We’re looking for:
- A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do mindset.
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and waking nights as part of a rota.
- A full UK driving licence (due to our peaceful rural location).
- A willingness to learn — full training is provided!
Please note: This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.
What We Can Offer You
Working as a Support Worker with us means joining an organisation that genuinely values its people.
- Support at every step – Employee Assistance, Wellbeing Champions and Salary Finance Support.
- Blue Light Card – discounts on over 15,000 UK retailers and businesses.
- Refer a Friend bonus – earn up to £1,000!
- Build your career here – funded QCF and genuine progression – 97% of our managers were promoted internally.
- Health Shield Plan - after probation.
- Enhanced maternity/ paternity – after 12 months of continuous service.
- Proud signatory of the JGHR Pledge – paid time off for cancer screening and appointments.
