What skills and experience we're looking for
Lea and Garsdon School is a successful, popular, highly regarded, voluntary-controlled community school situated within the beautiful village of Lea, on the edge of the Cotswolds and close to the historic market town of Malmesbury, Wiltshire.
The school has a recent building extension for KS1 which complements the pre-existing school building (now used for KS2) supplied to enable the school to grow in numbers. Pupil numbers have risen from 120 three years ago to 175 currently and may reach the school’s maximum of 210 over the next few years.
We are seeking to appoint a visionary, forward-thinking and inspirational leader who will be able to:
• continue the school’s development while maintaining our village school ethos of ‘Learn, Enjoy, Achieve’;
• develop extra-curricular activity provision;
• lead and develop a team of talented and hardworking staff who enjoy working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children;
• work collaboratively alongside other schools to drive continuous improvement across our school.
