St Simon’s Catholic Primary School is a warm, welcoming school where Christ is the inspiration for all that we do. We are seeking a self-motivated, creative, and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join our Key Stage 1 team and cover a period of maternity leave. As our Year 1 teacher, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and exciting transition for our pupils from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) into the National Curriculum. You will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning and help our students achieve their full potential
We are looking for a teacher who will:
Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum, including phonics
Be passionate about creating a vibrant, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
Have high expectations for attainment, progress, and behaviour.
Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
Embrace our school vision, striving to be the best that they can be.
