Summary
We are looking for a passionate and energetic Sports Coach to inspire and support primary school-aged children in developing a love for sport and physical activity. The successful candidate will plan and deliver fun, safe, and engaging coaching sessions that help children build confidence, teamwork, and fundamental skills. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging sports sessions for primary school children
Focus on developing fundamental movement skills, coordination, and confidence through fun activities and games
Encourage teamwork, good sportsmanship, and respect among participants
Provide positive, constructive feedback that motivates children to improve and enjoy learning new skills
Monitor each child’s progress and celebrate achievements, maintaining accurate records of participation and development
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported
Keep up to date with best practices in coaching, child development, and safety standards for young children
Qualifications
Experience in coaching or teaching children, preferably in a primary school setting
Strong understanding of age-appropriate sports activities and child development
Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young children
Creative, patient, and enthusiastic with the ability to make sessions fun and engaging
Organised and capable of planning structured yet flexible coaching sessions
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are desirable, but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary accreditations is preferred
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
