Summary
We are seeking a skilled 2 Furniture Fitters to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and fabrication techniques, demonstrating proficiency in both assembly and installation tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Dealing and taking ownership of deliveries in a professional manner.
Understanding how to load furniture products to avoid damage.
You will be required to work at the premises of its customers, clients, suppliers, or associates within the United Kingdom from time to time this will require an overnight stay when applicable.
Building, installing and carrying furniture.
Able to read floor plans.
Multi-drop deliveries
Warehouse work
Ensuring their assigned vans are kept clean and vehicles checks are carried out weekly
Completing Driver log sheets and returning signed delivery notes to the office
Ensuring collections take place and are brought back to the warehouse for booking in.
Checking and understanding driver routes
Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy for a safe working environment.
Fully understanding and utilising the full complement of services offered by Bates Office.
Assisting colleagues in the warehouse and other drivers.
Setting-up effective communication channels with co-workers to ensure co-workers are aware of what is happening.
Requirements
Proven experience in fabrication and assembly within a construction environment.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to fitting tasks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Full driving license
30hrs contract - 10hrs (1hr unpaid lunch break) a day, 3 days a week, days to be confirmed.
