All posts are focused on supporting data collection processes for Children and Young Peoples IAPT (CYP-IAPT), including clinical outcome monitoring & service–user satisfaction. The primary task in these roles is to support data collection. There are opportunities to undertake clinical work under supervision from a Clinical Psychologist. The post holder will support assessments, consultations and direct therapeutic work.
Post 1 – Bexley
You will join a multidisciplinary team working with children and young people with complex mental health difficulties. You will work with four assistant psychologists within Bexley CAMHS. Staff describe that work in Bexley CAMHS a warm and caring environment across the whole service. Bexley CAMHS is based in a newly refurbished, purposely designed building, easily accessible from Kent, SE and East London, as well as parts of Essex and Surrey. There is parking on site and nearby streets. There are excellent public transport links including a direct train to Erith from London Bridge in under 40 mins.
Post 2 – Greenwich
This is an exciting opportunity to join specialist teams, the Early Intervention in Schools Team (EIT) in CAMHS & the Integrated Clinical Team (ICT) in Children's Services. The teams offer specialist mental health expertise for CYP experiencing difficulties in behaviour/emotional well-being & vulnerable to mental health difficulties. ICT works alongside Children’s services staff with YP & families open to social care, where YP experience anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, family conflict, gender related distress or trauma experiences. The team offer therapeutic treatments to YP/families. EIT provide training to schools, consultation & brief evidence-based intervention. The post holder will work with clinicians, e.g. Clinical Psychologists, Family Therapists & Psychotherapists.
Post 3 - DBT
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) is an intensive evidence-based treatment for YP aged 13-17 with persistent self-harm & suicidal behaviour due to emotion dysregulation. DBT is community-based and aims to help YP understand harmful behaviours, replace these with more skilful behaviours and help them create a life they want to live. The post holder will assist in clinical admin, collection of KPIs, development of audit/research projects and teaching, plus clinical work, supporting the weekly DBT skills group for YP & parents/carers, and assessments. It is essential to have an interest in working with YP with self harm/suicidal behaviour in a DBT service.
