We’re looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our friendly residential care home in Pontardawe! If you're an experienced Senior Carer eager for more responsibility, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
• 36 hour permanent contract
• Shift Times: We offer 8am-9pm or 8am-2.30pm/2.30pm-9pm over a 2 week rolling rota

What is the Role?

As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in supporting both residents and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

Motivating and leading the care team to provide exceptional support.
Ensuring safety and well-being by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
Supervising & mentoring Care Workers to help them develop and thrive.
Maintaining records and documenting any concerns accurately.
What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

At least 2 years’ experience in a care worker role.
NVQ/QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards Level 3.
Experience in implementing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
Leadership experience, including team management, supervision, and conducting annual appraisals.
What are the pay and benefits?

£26,315 FTE 36 hour salary
Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 27 days after 1 years’ service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave
