Crynodeb
We are currently seeking to recruit a friendly, reliable, and trustworthy Support Worker to work alongside a care team and case manager in supporting a gentleman in his 40s who has sustained a brain injury, within his own home.
As a result of his injuries, he experiences some physical difficulties and requires mobility support. He uses a rollator to assist with walking short distances, and a manual wheelchair when walking longer distances or on uneven terrain.
He enjoys spending time at the gym, shopping for healthy foods, and browsing online shopping. He also values sensory activities and community involvement.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one assistance both in the home and community, supporting the individual with daily living tasks, domestic tasks, accessing hobbies, and participating in community activities. Personal care support is minimal, mainly related to medication when and when required. You will work closely with the wider care team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care that enhances the individual’s independence and quality of life.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in the care sector, including previous experience supporting adults with brain injuries. You should demonstrate compassion, patience, and a proactive approach to care, with the flexibility to work across a seven-day rota, including days and nights, on a bank basis. Full training on the individual’s specific needs will be provided.
Shift Patterns
24-hour shifts
48.5-hour shifts
(Shifts run between 19:00 – 19:15).
Pay Rates
£15.06 – £15.26 per hour (depending on shift/day).
Enhanced rates on bank holidays.
Night rate: £9.96 per hour.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a rewarding care package. You will play a vital role in supporting this gentleman to maintain his quality of life, achieve personal goals, and enjoy meaningful day-to-day activities.
If you have the skills and experience required, we would love to hear from you.
