Position Summary

To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain the Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standard including updating and implementing policies and procedures when required.

- Review and update the legal register as required.

- Manage the risk assessment process.

- Oversee first aid arrangements.

- Organise and deliver training.

- Update HSE Metrics.

- Write and issue reports as required.

- Write and issue Health and Safety briefings.

- Carry out regular safety audits and tours.

- Carry out Health and Safety and Environmental monitoring and assessments.

- Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes.

- Coordinate accident and incident investigations including maintaining logs, statistics and ensuring actions are complete.

- Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required.

- Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives.

- Manage PPE.

- Oversee Contractors procedures and permits to work.

- Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.

What They're Looking For:

- Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma level.

- At least 5 years' experience of Health, Safety and Environmental practice in a manufacturing environment.

- Experience as an Internal Auditor.

- Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

- Must have practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO14001.
