Crynodeb
Role Requirements The successful candidate can expect to participate in the review; surgical operative treatment and post-operative care of all patients with elective and emergently-presenting cardiac surgical pathologies referred to the clinical service in Derriford. This furthermore encompasses serving the wider Southwest population of Devon and Cornwall. When not participating in direct clinical care, research or teaching, the successful candidate will be supported in their pursuit of other complementary professional development activities. On-call commitment: 1 in 10 non-residential second on-call rota in the cardiothoracic unit, together with a specialist anaesthetic registrar, with a basic surgical trainee/ANP on the campus first on-call. The successful candidate will share equal responsibilities with the existing fellow registrars / trainees on the higher cardiothoraic surgical rotation programme.
