SECURITY OFFICER



Salary: £35,996.14 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 42 hours per week, 12 hour shifts [4 on, 4 off, 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am]

Location: Cheltenham



Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus (pro-rata for part time employees), subject to Achieving and maintaining clearance requirements.



G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Security Officer on a full-time, permanent basis based in Cheltenham.



We are looking for an organised individual with a keen eye and a brilliant way with people to provide a full and comprehensive delivery of services to our high-profile client. You will act as the first point of contact for any emergencies and ensure site safety by patrolling the interior and exterior of the building and carrying out searches on staff members, visitors and vehicles.



Responsibilities

Control access to site and designated buildings.

Detect, and if possible prevent, forcible or clandestine entry to sites/buildings by those without authority and deter and detect vandalism.

Monitor activity on site and in the immediate vicinity of the site.

Operate the switchboard out of hours.

Deal with suspect postal packages and suspicious objects in accordance with agreed procedures.

Monitor the effectiveness of the end of day security measures in workspaces.

Carry out monitoring of the alarm systems as required.

Comply with health and safety and emergency procedures.


Essential

Basic level of IT skills.

Must be willing to undergo extended security clearance.
