Summary
The Emergency Assessment Unit is a 47 bedded unit, with a Frailty and Medical SDEC, as well as a DVT clinic that is also absorbed within the EAU footprint.
You will be a highly skilled nurse with drive, commitment and a strong sense of leadership to join our innovative team aiming to deliver excellent patient centred care.
This is a unique band 7 role as you will be expected to regularly undertake both clinical and managerial roles of Nurse-in-Charge and unit manager role, managing teams of staff within the EAU team.
If you are a knowledgeable and skilled practitioner in the field of acute medicine with significant experience at Band 6 or above, this could be the role for you. Ideally, you will have skills and experience of leading a team, delivering high standards of quality care as well as experience within Acute medical nursing.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven clinical ability at Band 6 or above; be able to manage all aspects of a leadership role on a daily basis, including a real understanding of flow and capacity; and the leadership ability to lead and support the unit in achieving Trust goals.
You will be expected to understand and promote a fair but demanding culture of continuous improvement among all of our team.
A mentorship or teaching qualification is desirable.
