Summary

Hull City Council requires an Arboricultural Chargehand to lead a team of Arboricultural Operatives in all aspects of arboricultural tasks including pruning, felling and planting.
Candidates must be able to undertake site specific risk assessments to determine the safest system or work in compliance to current legislation. Use knowledge and experience to analyse situation to determine safest way to undertake required works.
Candidates will be expected to be able to perform tree felling operations, this includes ability to climb trees using ropes, harnesses and various friction devices, technical dismantling of trees using ropes, pulleys and mechanical lowering equipment to avoid obstructions where appropriate or straight felling if the site allows using good arboricultural practices. This requires this role to use chain saws.
