My 8 year old son is looking for a Personal Assistant to supervise and play with him within the family home, so that I can get a break from my caring role. My son is non verbal and on the autism spectrum. He loves coco melon and watching you tube clips on his tablet or TV. He also enjoys playing with magnets, puzzles, Lego and water play in the garden. He likes routine and familiarity so I hope that over time the personal assistant will be able to take him out into the community on his favourite thing, the bus!
He does need constant supervision to stay safe, as well as help and prompting with eating and toileting but he is physically active and enjoys being outside using his trampoline in the garden.
Your help and support would make a real difference to me and my family. Having somebody to be around and engaging in play with him, would mean that I can get on with jobs around the home would give me some well needed time to myself. The work will be flexible and can fit around your other commitments.
Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Moving and handling

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
