- Lead complex corporate tax advisory projects, coordinating input from specialist teams
- Oversee compliance work and review technical advice prepared by the team
- Act as main point of contact for clients and HMRC, including strategic planning, risk management, and investigations
- Collaborate with audit and wider teams to deliver excellent client service
- Coach and mentor Assistant Managers and Managers, including performance reviews and professional development
- Support business development and identify growth opportunities with new and existing clients
- Contribute to technical knowledge-sharing through briefings, workshops, and published insights
- Ensure high technical standards and compliance with firm procedures and risk management policies
- Promote ESG initiatives, including wellbeing, community engagement, and environmental awareness
What you'll need to succeed
- CTA qualified (ACA, CA or ACCA an advantage) with significant post-qualification experience in corporation tax compliance and advisory
- Skilled at interpreting tax legislation and explaining complex advice in clear, simple language
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- Interest in business development and leveraging growth opportunities through networking and client relationships
- Experienced in coaching and developing others, fostering an inclusive team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax software (Alphatax experience preferred)
