Applicants are invited to apply for the position of LAS ST1-2 in Urology at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible to and work as a LAS ST1-2 in Urology under the supervision of the Urology Consultants and Specialty Doctors. Within the hours contracted, the successful candidate is expected to be flexible in the exact hours worked each day.

The Urology department is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated people with the ability to work with the general surgery team to provide a comprehensive service across the department.

All Medical staff employed by the Trust are expected to comply with hospital health and safety policies, clinical governance and other risk management policies.

This post will involve the day-to-day running of the ward and, when required, assisting Consultants and Specialty Doctors in theatre. Therefore, depending on agreement, this post would normally exceed the basic 40 hours per week full time contract. The post holder will work Monday to Friday, with no weekend cover or long days required currently, however, this is likely to change in the future to align the on-call service with General Surgery.

The chosen candidate will provide clinical support and set a professional example working alongside other clinical staff. Duties will revolve around day to day running of the ward. More specifications about main duties will be in shift details received from trust
