Summary

Do you have strong technical experience and are ready to take the next step into a leadership role? East Lindsey District Council is seeking a Technical Support Lead to manage and motivate our Planning Support Team, ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance with legislative requirements.



In this pivotal role, you will:

Lead and develop a dedicated team, driving continuous improvement and high standards of Planning Support.
Oversee planning application systems, ensuring performance targets are met and legislative requirements applied.
Provide expert technical and administrative support across Planning Services, including managing processes for applications, appeals and enquiries.
Represent the department on corporate projects and liaise with Councillors, senior managers, and external partners.
Play a key part in our Partnership journey to align systems and processes.


What we’re looking for:

Experience in a technical or regulatory role, ideally within local government, or similar environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage, train, and inspire a team.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of data protection regulations.


Desirable:

Supervisory experience in a multi-skilled office environment.
Understanding of planning services and development management.
