Do you have a passion for helping children manage their behaviour and thrive in school?We're looking for dedicated Behavioural Support Assistants to join inclusive and welcoming schools in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs in a positive, structured environment.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural challenges, including those linked to SEN, autism, ADHD, and social/emotional difficulties.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support positive behaviour plans.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to create a safe and structured learning environment.
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
- Assist with classroom organisation and inclusive learning activities.
What We're Looking For
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is an advantage.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a bonus-but not essential!
