Summary

Join us as an Electronic Trading Risk and Control Automation Lead

  • We’ll look to you to provide your electronic trading risk subject matter expertise to enable the oversight and enhancement of the global risk and control framework

What you’ll do

As an Electronic Trading Risk and Control Automation Lead, you’ll perform the significant harm function algorithmic trading under IAR, SHF9, and support the administration of the e-trading governance structure, including the Electronic Trading Risk Committee.

Alongside this, you’ll ensure the smooth management of the three electronic trading control lifecycles, including the algorithm lifecycle, the automated control lifecycle and the e-platform lifecycle.

Your top priorities will include:

  • Contributing to the strategic enhancement of our electronic trading risk management capabilities

  • Helping to deliver automation initiatives to improve efficiencies for electronic trading risks and controls

  • Investigating and responding to electronic trading risk issues, internal reviews and regulatory enquiries

  • Delivering regulatory remediation in the electronic trading space in a cost-efficient manner and helping with internal audit reviews of the relevant control landscape

  • Identifying and mitigating non-market risks that’re inherent in the electronic trading businesses where appropriate

  • Collaborating with business risk managers to deliver a suitable risk and control agenda for our bank

The skills you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll have knowledge of financial service businesses, including investment banking, and operational experience within an electronic trading business or appropriate consulting experience.

In addition, you’ll need a STEM degree, or a similar analytical qualification, a commercial and strategic mindset and the ability to solve problems.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

  • Technological eTrading experience, with knowledge of Python, Java, C++ or KDB

  • Understanding of automation possibilities in support of eTrading risks and controls

  • Knowledge of financial service risks and controls at different levels of an organisation

  • An understanding of how to think strategically and develop targeted and intelligent solutions

  • A clear track record of delivery and the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
