Summary

The Role
You will inspire and influence SNG leaders and colleagues towards SNG's vision of Everyone, Safe and Well (ES&W) and the supporting strategy.
Generate, promote and help embed a strong safety culture, providing professional, unbiased practical, accurate and clear advice to the business. The role will guide and support stakeholders in interpreting and applying relevant HSE regulatory and organisational requirements as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong professional working relationships with key stakeholders across CIDO, Workplace, C&N, and community foundation
Deliver subject matter expertise on HSE taking ownership through to completion in providing competent expert coaching, advice, and guidance, working in collaboration with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
Conduct safety visits in the field partnering with stakeholders – this will include development sites, offices, and community locations, providing guidance to front line colleagues and Managers, leading by example and recommending good practice and areas for improvement
Coach and promote visible safety leadership, lead and implement initiatives to establish a strong safety mindset
Lead, support, and guide relevant stakeholders the incident management process
Understand, interpret and support the business apply relevant regulations, in particular, supporting CIDO colleagues apply CDM regulations to varies project types
Liaise with stakeholders supporting evaluations as part of relevant tender processes
Lead, guide and coach line managers on the risk assessment process, providing technical expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment and the design of suitable and sufficient controls
Promote good environmental operational awareness and working practices within the organisation
Support with DSE assessments as part of the DSE process for reasonable adjustments
We are looking for someone who has
Experience in HSE roles
Deep understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Nebosh National General Certificate
Willingness to travel frequently within identified areas to support as required
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
