Job Title: SITE MANAGER

Working Hours: 32½hrs per week term time / 20hrs per week during school holidays (* see comment)
Salary: Grade E £28,142 to £31,022 (Pro rata due to working term time and part time hours)
Contract Type: Permanent

Are you a practical, proactive and highly organised individual with a passion for creating safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments? We are looking for a dedicated School Site Manager to join our friendly team and play a vital role in the smooth running of our school.
About the Role:
As our Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well-presented at all times. Your work will directly support the learning and wellbeing of our pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school site
Carry out repairs, maintenance tasks and DIY projects
Supervise contractors and ensure all work meets safeguarding and health & safety standards
Monitor and manage heating, lighting and alarm systems
Ensure compliance with statutory checks and maintain accurate records
Take pride in the presentation of the school grounds
Support school events with set-up and logistics
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
Practical, resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues independently
Experienced in building maintenance, site management or a related trade (desired but not essential)
Knowledgeable about health & safety, or willing to undertake relevant training
Able to work flexibly and take initiative
Friendly, reliable and committed to supporting our school community

The working day during term time will be a split shift: Monday to Friday 06:30-09:00 and 14:00 18:00.
Due to the nature of the role, we are open to splitting the role into morning and afternoon shifts should suitable candidates express a preference.
* Working hours during the holidays will be reduced (to be discussed at interview; this is open to discussion and will depend on planned works during the holidays).
