Final PCB Inspector

Salary: £35,000 DOE
To carry out final inspection of PCBs and electronic assemblies to ensure full compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and IPC guidelines before product release.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform final visual and mechanical inspection using microscopes, magnifiers, and measurement tools.
- Verify conformity to IPC-A-610/IPC-600, drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.
- Identify defects including solder issues, misalignment, contamination, missing components, and physical damage.
- Document inspection results and raise non-conformances where required.
- Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement with production and quality teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of PCB/electronic assembly processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality standards.
- High attention to detail and strong defect-spotting capability.
- Competent with microscopes, calipers, and inspection equipment.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work independently.
Experience & Qualifications
- PCB or electronics inspection experience (5+ years preferred).
- IPC-A-610 or IPC-600 certification (advantageous).
- Familiarity with ESD-safe working practices.
