If so, this could be an ideal role for you where you will receive guidance, mentoring, and training whilst gaining hands-on
experience working one-to-one with learners to help them thrive.

This is a term time role (46 weeks per year) and 27.5 hours per week working with young people (16+) who have an Education Health
& Care Plan (EHCP). The learners we work with can have complex needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and potentially having additional

applications of practical skills to cater for various learning styles and abilities is essential.

As a support worker, a typical day might include:

* Helping deliver engaging sessions across vocational, academic, and employability programmes, with the support of experienced
tutors.
* Support the learner in external environments for enrichment or placement activities
* Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
* Work with learners individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being among learners.
* Participate in internal training and CPD
* Support activities towards assessment, attendance tracking, and learner progress monitoring to help support our quality
assurance processes
* Follow safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies at all times

Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you:

* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people with SEND
* Patience, empathy, and good communication skills
* Willingness to learn and complete relevant training
* Basic IT and organisational abilities
* Experience in a practical trade, youth work, or education support
* Full clean driving licence and vehicle
*

What will make you stand out from the crowd:

* Previous experience working with SEN learners
