Role: HGV Technician
Location: Pocklington, YO42 1NR
Salary: £22 per hour + Overtime paid at time and a half
Hours: Alternate weekly rota, Monday to Friday. Week 1: 7am - 5pm, Week 2: 8am - 6pm.
Join the Ashcourt Group as an experienced HGV Technician and become a vital part of our expanding team. Based at our state-of-the-art workshop within our new head office in Pocklington, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and specialist vehicles.
Core Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of HGV vehicles and trailers.
Conduct routine servicing and comprehensive vehicle inspections.
Prepare vehicles for MOT compliance.
Ensure all work adheres to DVSA and manufacturer specifications.
Work efficiently to enhance workshop productivity.
Maintain precise records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Essential Requirements:
Full UK driving licence; Class 1 or 2 licence is advantageous.
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrable experience as an HGV or commercial vehicle technician.
Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
IRTEC Qualifications are preferred.
