Summary
Part-time (30 hours) – Permanent
Grade B1 - £28,598 - £30,024 per annum, pro rata
North Kesteven District Council is seeking a motivated professional to join the Income team. This post places you at the centre of a dynamic and essential service, supporting the Council’s objectives in delivering effective energy advice and assistance to residents. You will play a key role in helping households manage energy use and access support, ensuring our services reach those most in need.
Job Requirements:
• NEA Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness, or willingness to work towards this
• Skill and aptitude for collating and communicating complex information
• Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the domestic energy market and related government initiatives
• Commitment to supporting customers in financial difficulty through clear advice and practical solutions
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering accurate energy advice and inputting case information into relevant systems
• Supporting customers in financial difficulty by signposting to appropriate schemes and initiatives
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the domestic energy market and government support programmes
• Contributing to service improvements by updating processes and communication materials
Key Attributes:
• Ability to communicate clearly through multiple channels and with diverse groups
• Ability to work on own initiative, including when visiting tenants’ homes
• Excellent concentration skills and attention to detail
• A highly organised and confident person
You will be required to apply a high level of focus and conscientiousness when carrying out this role to support the delivery of the housing service at an operational level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
