We’re now looking for an Accounts Senior to join our Weston-super-Mare office. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in practice who enjoys building strong client relationships, supporting junior colleagues, and working with a variety of businesses.

Main Duties
The main duties (but not limited to) are the following:
Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services
Responsible for developing and training junior team members.
Filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on client’s behalf
Ensuring that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date
Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns
Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
General admin duties to provide support to the Partners, Directors, Managers and the office

Attributes, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys working in a team-focused environment. Ideally, you’ll bring the following:
Experience working as an Accounts Technician, Senior or Semi-Senior in practice
Minimum AAT qualified (Association of Accounting Technicians) or qualified by experiance
Strong background in accounts preparation for limited companies and unincorporated businesses
Audit experience is desirable but not essential
Outgoing, approachable, and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues
Organised, resilient, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines
Professional, discreet, and a team player with a positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (and comfortable learning new software quickly)
Ability to present information clearly and concisely in emails and reports

Up to 36.25 hours / 5 days per week (part time, flexible and hybrid working is available).
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 25 days plus bank holidays after 3 years’ service.
