An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join Ward AMU within the position of Ward Clerk. AMU is an Acute Medical assessment unit 36 bedded AMU admit patients directly from the Emergency Department .It is fast paced , and we have a high number of discharges and admissions. Our nurse in charge co-ordinates the efforts of all staff on shift helping to manage any challenges that arise or and workplace pressures using a teamworking approach. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will handle telephone enquiries, redirect calls, andrespond to queries from patients, staff, and external agencies, always ensuring confidentiality is maintained. You will also support the team with general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, distributing mail, and maintaining departmental records in line with Trust policies.
