Join our Maintenance Service Centre as an IT Hardware Repair & Configuration Operative, where you'll play a key role in ensuring IT equipment is inspected, repaired, and prepared to the highest standards. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment, supporting the full lifecycle of IT hardware.
Key Responsibilities- Asset Management: Track and manage all incoming assets, ensuring accurate location records and resolving discrepancies.
- Device Processing: Inspect, test, clean, and configure IT equipment including laptops, desktops, screens, handheld and mobile devices.
- Ticket Handling: Organise and manage service tickets in the company system, ensuring timely updates.
- Hardware Preparation: Prepare new and repaired hardware for deployment.
- Workflow Management: Maintain a clean, organised workspace and eliminate backlogs to meet SLAs.
- Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams and escalate issues promptly to supervisors.
- Continuous Improvement: Support 6S implementation and process improvements across the workshop.
- Previous experience supporting IT hardware (hardware and software level).
- Strong administration and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications; ITIL experience preferred.
- Ability to gain OEM and standard IT accreditations.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workload.
- Flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach.
- Driving Required: Yes (for business purposes)
- Holiday Entitlement: 31 days (pro-rata)
