What skills and experience we're looking for
The overall purpose of the post is to:
• Monitor and maintain the school site in accordance with the school’s operating policies and procedures
• Carry out a wider range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the school – to include Health & Safety, security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance, refurbishment and minor repair
The successful candidate will need to have the following:
• Good communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing and conflicting demands
• Ability to be flexible and work as a part of team
• Ability to understand and apply regulations such as Health & Safety, Asbestos, Legionella, COSHH, Manual Handling etc
• Have competence at basic building repairs and maintenance
• Attention to detail

About this Role
The role of the Site Supervisor will be to provide support regarding Health & Safety compliance, preventative maintenance and general building repairs and be responsible for opening and closing of the school building. This includes:
• Security
• Cleanliness
• Porterage
• Monitoring contracts/contractors
• Routine maintenance and refurbishment
Minor repairs
• Advising the Business Manager/Headteacher on suggested improvements to the general school environment
• Carry out pre-planned maintenance programmes
• Complete cycle of health and safety checks, completing records
• Undertake training to keep up-to-date with current health and safety guidance
