Required as soon as possible.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. This is a full-time Level 3 (TA3) position with additional HLTA responsibility. You will play a key role in supporting children within the EYFS setting, helping them learn through play, assisting with daily routines, and working closely with teaching staff to create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
- Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with SEND
- Lead intervention and enrichment activities to boost pupil progress
- Assist with classroom management, resource preparation, and displays
- Supervise pupils during break times, trips, and extra-curricular activities
- Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For:
- A person who follows and promotes the distinctive Christian ethos of the school
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Warm, patient, and caring approach to supporting young children.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting children’s learning
- Previous experience in a primary school setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
