About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and welcoming school community that works collaboratively across Greenwich, Medway, and Croydon to transform the lives of children and families.
The HLTA role is integral to the school, supporting teachers during their PPA time and ensuring high-quality learning continues in the classroom. You will take on greater responsibility than a Teaching Assistant, including covering classes and planning and delivering your own lessons.
Key Responsibilities
*Cover classes and deliver high-quality lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
*Support teachers during PPA time to ensure continuity of learning.
*Plan, prepare, and teach lessons in line with the EYFS and primary curriculum.
*Maintain strong relationships with pupils and promote positive behaviour for learning.
*Provide flexible support across the school to meet the needs of all learners.
What We're Looking For
*Experience of teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS and primary curriculum.
*Capacity and flexibility to be deployed across the school.
*Enthusiastic, resourceful, and committed individual with a passion for teaching and learning.
*Ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
What the School Offers
*A happy, vibrant, and welcoming environment.
*Curious and motivated children who love learning.
*Excellent practices and systems to support children with additional needs.
*A world-class curriculum with global themes to inspire critical thinking and awareness.
*A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team.
*Commitment to professional development for all staff.
*Warm, engaging, and collaborative colleagues.

*Hold a valid Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willing to apply).
*Provide proof of right to work in the UK.
*Supply two recent professional references covering the last two years.
